Tea Time: Benefits of Drinking Different Types of Tea

It’s no secret that tea is good for you.

Some even say that tea is better for you than coffee. A reason for this is that tea contains xanthines which offer two major benefits: they stimulate the brain and they relax the body. Because of its high potassium content, tea also helps you stay hydrated, unlike coffee (which, in fact, has dehydrating properties).

Did you know that the four major tea types – black, green, white and oolong – all come from one plant, Camellia sinensis? It’s how the leaves are treated that the different types of tea are created.
