Life can get so rushed sometimes, right? Sometimes we just need to take a moment out of our busy days to switch off and do something relaxing. For people who deal with anxiety and stress, this is even more important. Here is a list of a few ways to relax.
Listening to calming music
Since classical antiquity, when Apollo was the God of Music, people have believed that music has the power to penetrate the soul and that it can actually heal our mind, body, and soul.
I recommend classical or indie.

Spending time with pets
Animal lovers will know how calming and heartwarming it feels to spend some quality time with your pet. Play with your dog, or take him for a walk. Let your cat sleep on your lap. Or even just chat to your goldfish.
If you don’t have a pet, however, find one at the park or at your local animal shelter.
For example: Breathe in for 3 seconds, hold it in, and breathe out for 6 seconds.
Watching a feel-good movie
Feel-good movies are films that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside; films that inspire us and make us believe. They are the movies that leave us with a smile, no matter how many times we’ve watched them.
Watch a film that makes you laugh, smile or believe, or go for a love story with a happy ending.
For some people, shopping is a great way to take their minds off things.
With retail therapy, make it your own. Personally, I find strolling through a nursery very calming.
Take a walk somewhere it’s green. Sit in the garden. If you live near the ocean, go to the beach.
Talking it out
Talking can be very therapeutic. If you have people in your life that you trust, you don’t necessarily need a psychologist. Have a heart-to-heart session with a close friend or family member.
Sleeping is a good way to escape the daily rush for a little while.
Reading a good book
The bookworms out there understand how calming reading a good book can be.
Go outside and just lie on your back, looking at the sky and the clouds.
